Save Custom drop down reason for absence

I would love to be able to add custom reasons for a student's absence in the drop down menu. I'm required to include the number and type of absence in my billing (e.g. "No show. This is their 3rd consecutive no show.) It would be much easier to see at glance if I could display those custom reasons. Thanks!
